The short version
We collect as little as possible. We do not sell your data. We do not use cookie-based advertising trackers.
Analytics
We use privacy-preserving analytics that do not set cookies and do not build cross-site profiles of visitors. Aggregate figures — page views, referrers, country — are all we see. We cannot identify individual readers from it.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we store your email address for the purpose of sending the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from any email, and unsubscribing deletes the address. We do not share or sell the list.
Embedded content
Story pages may embed YouTube videos. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set tracking cookies unless you play the video. Once you play it, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
